This beautiful Handmade Bamboo Drum was crafted by the living decendants of the Maya Indians in a Guatemala Village. Prior to working with the Mayan Artist Network
and the Tribal Mall, the works from this Mayan family had been sold exclusively at craft stands in Guatemala villages.
This handmade bamboo drum is
approximately 13" tall and a 3" diameter. The Mayan animals (birds & turtles), sun & moon, &/or fish are carved directly into the sides.
These brightly painted drums have been used by the Mayan Indians for centuries for communication & ceremonies of their village.
