have the sense of the strength of his traditional roots in his works. His mediums are cedar and alder the traditional wood of his people, textiles in the creation of wall panels and ceremonial
robes and regalia, limited edition prints and original paintings and is currently developing his talents in silversmithing-watch for some jewelry in the future.
Although all of the carvings are done by Robert, he is assisted quite handily by his wife Antoinette. She is of Tsimshian /Haida /Tlinget decent. She is the Great-Granddaughter
of Eli Tait, renowned carver of Metlakatla, Alaska. Antoinette was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She creates the majority of the Bent Cedar Boxes and creates her art on some of
them. She does quite well by using the traditional process of steam-bending the cedar to create the boxes. Her works have won awards and the attention of many at various events they
